3) One of our home team Minor Leaguers is the Florida State League's offensive player of the week! Watch first base star Gabe Jacobo at today and Friday against the Lakeland Flying Tigers starting at 6:30 p.m. (Psst, tonight is all-you-can-eat wing night; $10 gets you a wristband for wings! Doors open at 5:30 p.m.) Here's what the Florida State League has to say about Jacobo: "He won't be there long at this rate. The first baseman ... closed out his week with five consecutive multi-hit games. Jacobo doubled in each of those contests and has reached base in all 22 of his games with Dunedin this season" (on MiLB.com).

4) For the mere price of a $20 ticket, you could win a new set of McCallum AB4 Deluxe Celtic Edition bagpipes (a retail value of $1,600). The City of Dunedin Pipe Band is raffling the set to help raise funds. You can enter the drawing online. Winner will be announced on Sept. 22 at . And, even the musically illiterate among us can enter the drawing. If you win, you can always donate the pipes to Dunedin High School's music program, city piper Jamie Everett says.
