  3. April is Parkinson's Awareness Month, which began over two decades ago in 1997. 4. Have you seen the bright and fuzzy caterpillars around town lately? Don't touch them! According to Florida health officials, white-marked tussock moth caterpillars can cause skin irritation, stinging, inflammation, welts, and rashes. They can even lead to allergic reactions, especially in children who are more susceptible to reactions. If your skin comes in contact with one of these caterpillars and becomes irritated, first cover the affected area with tape and rip it off to remove the toxins. Then wash the area with soap and water, and use ice and baking soda to stop the irritation. (WFLA)
