
A beloved community member Thaddeus "Ted" A. Napp passed away on New Year's Eve after a long struggle withΒ pulmonary fibrosis, an incurable lung disease.
"HeΒ gave a valiant fight right up until the end," saidΒ Chamber president Lynn Wargo.
Napp was theΒ membership development representative for the Chamber of Commerce and "community activist extraordinaire," Wargo said.

"Ted's voice on the phone, his smile and strong hand-shake," his obituary reads.
He was a Senior Hall of Fame inductee, in part for his service toΒ the Dunedin Council of Organizations, the Rotary, the Dunedin Historical Society, the Dunedin Committee on Aging and the Dunedin Country Club.

He was also named Mr. and Mrs. Delightful Dunedin with his, a longtime volunteer who passed away in May 2011.
"Ted touched so many people in the community," Wargo wrote in a letter to chamber members early this week. "His presence is missed more than we could have anticipated."
"Ted was the most positive guy you could know," Bill Coleman, founder of the , wrote in a letter to Patch. "Always a smile on his face and a good word for all.Β Dunedin will be less of a town without the likes of Ted Napp.Β If I had to use only one word to describe Ted, the word 'gentleman' comes to mind."
Ted Napp's life will be celebrated with a Catholic Mass on Friday, Jan. 6, at 10:30 a.m., at , 750 San Salvador Drive. A reception follows. All are invited.
In lieu of flowers, the Napp family requests donations to Raising Hope or the Dunedin Youth Guild.
