Engagement of Jessica Jeserski to Albert Harper

Albert Harper and Jessica Jeserski, with their families, are pleased to announce their engagement.

Albert, 36, is a kitchen manager at , and Jessica, 24, is an assistant manager at Joe’s Crab Shack in Clearwater. The couple became engaged on Dec. 30, 2011 at Flanagan's, where the entire staff was in on the surprise.

“He had all of my family and friends there,” Jessica said. “It was a packed bar and everyone held up 'Say Yes' signs.”

 was performing and let Albert on stage, where he recounted how he met Jessica about four and a half years ago at a mutual friend’s wedding.

Some last-second changes to the sleeping arrangements at her friend’s house left them chatting all night long in the living room under a makeshift blanket-and-sheet tent.

The two lost contact for two years, until Albert left for Arizona to work for a few months. Looking for a connection to home, he picked up his cell phone and dialed Jessica.

That's when the spark ignited.

“We have been inseparable ever since,” Jessica said.

The couple enjoys being outside, and especially likes fishing and kayaking together. They are planning an intimate beach wedding on Oct. 28, with a reception at Flanagan’s.
