The City intends to reconstruct Norfolk Street between Douglas Avenue and Milwaukee Avenue.
The existing roadway is both narrow and poorly drained. Subject to City commission approval, the roadway would be widened and lowered. Curbs would be constructed to both define the road width and to facilitate yard and road drainage. If there is a consensus among area property owners, the project may include construction of new sidewalks. Preliminary project drawings indicating the proposed new road and drainage system, the possible sidewalk locations and the potential impact of project construction on existing trees will be available for review in the Library lobby after May 8.
