Win an iPad 2 in Free PSTA Photo Contest

Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority is offering a FREE iPad 2 as top prize in a photo contest.

The contest is meant to promote the agency's new RidePSTA blog and encourage ridership. Photo entries should capture the importance of PSTA in your life. You canΒ submit online or by mail.Β Entries must be submitted by Jan. 15.

Second prize is a $250 Visa gift card and third prize is a $100 Visa gift card.

β€œWe’ve implemented the blog to give our riders and the community greater access to PSTA services and staff as well as providing a fun new venue for feedback and discussion regarding our service and transportation issues in general,” says PSTA Director of Marketing Janet Recca. β€œIt’s a fun way to encourage people to learn about and ride on PSTA.”

Entries can be submitted online atΒ ride@psta.netΒ or by mail to:Β  PSTA Community Photo Contest, 3201 Scherer Drive, St. Petersburg, FL 33716 (photos will not be returned). Entries should include your name, address, phone number, email and how often you ride.

The winning entries will be chosen by a panel of experts and will be announced on Feb. 1. Participants are asked to abide by the following guidelines:

  • Photos should only be taken in public areas.
  • Do not take photos of people without their permission.
  • Photography must not interfere with passenger safety or movement at anyΒ time.
  • Photos must be original content.
  • Photos must be at least 200 DPI at 10 inches and in one of the following formats: JPEG, TIFF, PNG, GIF or BMP.
  • Photos should not in any wayΒ reference any illegal activity, violence, sex, alcohol, tobacco or drug use.
  • All entries submitted could be used by PSTA in future marketing campaigns.
  • A photo release form is required and can be obtained atΒ www.psta.net.
  • Tripods are not permitted on buses.
  • PSTA employees and their families are not eligible to enter.
