Here are the top stories today in Dunedin:

  1. The City of Dunedin will be hosting a free Medicaid Q&A Seminar on November 9 at the Hale Senior Activity Center. Hosted by Attorney Sean W. Scott, the seminar will address legal ways to protect your assets, house, car, and way of life while still receiving long-term nursing care. He will also discuss how to avoid being bankrupted by nursing home costs and answer any legal questions you may have regarding Medicaid. No reservation is needed to attend. (Press Release Desk)
  2. Cork & Beans Italian Wine & Coffee Lounge announced they will be hosting a pot luck event on Thanksgiving day. This is the second year they will be holding the event, and encourage anyone who doesn't feel like cooking or has nowhere else to celebrate to attend. Food is free and a sign-up sheet is available for anyone who would like to bring a dish. Cork & Beans is located on Broadway. They've assured guests that their bar will be open, and their televisions will be set to both the parade and football! (Facebook)
  3. It's that time of the year again! The City of Dunedin reminds us to set our clocks back this weekend for daylight savings time. Time officially gets changed early Sunday morning at 2:00 AM, giving us an extra hour of daylight. The City of Dunedin recommends taking this time to change the batteries in your home smoke detectors. This added minute could save your family's life! (Press Release Desk)
  4. Art Harvest is back! The Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin is hosting the 57th Annual Art Harvest this weekend in Highlander Park highlighting the work of over 200 artists. The event will include food vendors, art vendors, art competitions, and so much more! JLCD expects over 30,000 attendees throughout the weekend, so parking may be scarce. Go early and try to carpool.
