We all know Dunedin is a great place to visit. And we love it when our friends and family come to town. We just don’t always want them to actually stay in our homes. But how do we get that across without sounding, you know, a little rude…?
Here’s an idea: strongly suggest they stay at the Mai Tai Suites. Owners John and Karen Bickford offer fully furnished 850 square foot 2-bed, 1-bath suites for less than the price of a hotel.

Here are the top 3 stories in Dunedin today:
- Studio 1212 artists are hosting an Art on the Patio Pop Up Market today, Nov. 26 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Participating vendors will pop up their tents and tables on the Gallery’s patio for a one-day event where locals can find affordable, and unique gifts for the Holiday season. As an added bonus, the gallery is offering a $25 gift certificate to the first 10 customers who make a purchase in the amount of $200 or more between now and Dec. 30. (Studio 1212)
- The Institute for Creative Arts is hosting an open house event today, Nov. 26 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Those interested can stop by to shop local and support Dunedin artists on Small Business Saturday! Meet the artists and do some holiday shopping while you watch painting, pottery, jewelry making, metalwork, and mosaic demonstrations. Guests can also enjoy refreshments and enter for the chance to win a raffle. (Dunedin Patch)
- In celebration of National Marrow Awareness Month, Dunedin resident Kathy Till shared her experience in hopes of raising awareness of the importance of bone marrow donors. In March 2021, Till learned that she had a form of blood cancer called myelodysplastic syndrome and that she would need a bone marrow transplant to survive. Unfortunately, neither of her daughters was a donor match, so she sought help through the Be The Match Program, which is a national organization that matches donors with recipients. In just two weeks, Till found two potential donors and received a successful transplant that September. Learn more about how you can help at www.bethematch.org. (Tampa Bay Newspapers)
