Here are the top 3 stories in Dunedin today:
- The new school year is around the corner, and the City of Dunedin is hosting a Back to School Open House & Expo on July 27 to help families prepare. Bring the family to the MLK Jr. Recreation Center between 6 and 7:30 p.m. to browse various vendors offering information on before and after school activities, wellness, safety, and more. Kids can also participate in various hands-on activities and games. The first 200 school-age children will receive a free backpack filled with school supplies. (Dunedin Gov)
- The Dunedin Golf Club is hosting an 80s Music Fest on July 14 on the patio between 6 and 9 p.m. Enjoy the sounds of the era played by DJ Jerry, happy hour drink prices between 4 and 8 p.m., and dancing. Dinner reservations are encouraged for those who plan to grab food while there. If you mention you saw the event posted on the Patch, you'll receive a free domestic beer, glass of house wine, or non-alcoholic beverage! (Dunedin Patch)
- Teenage entrepreneur, Ceara Rae, was recently interviewed by Bold Journey about her experience running her Dunedin business, Sunset Henna. "At the beginning of starting Sunset Henna, I was worried that my clients would find out that I was just 15, and wouldn’t want to do business with me. I was worried people would see me as just a kid with a henna cone, who was not professional, mature, or educated about henna." Fortunately, her work spoke for itself. I encourage you to read the full interview at the link! (Bold Journey)
