- Unfortunately, the funds needed for the Dunedin Beatles Museum to move to the Clearwater Library have been vetoed by Gov. Ron DeSantis. The owner of the museum's collection, Dr. Robert Entel, has indicated they will remain open while the search continues for a larger space. Without state funds, the museum will have to rely on private donations to relocate and reach its potential. A larger location would allow for more of Entel's collection to be displayed, as right now, just a small portion can fit into the space. It would also include a unique interactive experience for Beatles fans! (Tampa Bay Newspapers)
- Are your teens and tweens interested in learning how to make the latest viral dessert? Bring them to Trendy Treat today, June 23, between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. at the MLK Jr. Recreation Center. For $20, kids between nine and 14 will learn how to make PB&J fried roll-ups and Fruit Roll-Ups ice cream sandwiches. Reserve your space by registering online here or in person at the recreation center. (City of Dunedin via Facebook)
- The City of Dunedin is reviewing its Golf Cart Infrastructure Plan, and they want your opinion! Regardless of whether or not you own a golf cart, the city asks that residents, visitors, and local business owners and employees fill out their survey. The city aims to improve the experience for golf cart users and potentially add amenities such as charging stations, defined parking, and FDOT roadway crossings. Public engagement opportunities on the matter will be scheduled over the next few months. Take the survey at the link and sign up for updates on the project. (City of Dunedin)
