- HOB Brewing Company and The Jungle Nutrition are hosting a Small Business Saturday Holiday Event this weekend. Vendors will include local small businesses, kicking off the holiday shopping season right! The event will take place at HOB in Dunedin between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Keep in mind, this overlaps with HOB's Toy Drive which is held between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Saturday. Anyone who brings an unwrapped toy will receive a BOGO beer ticket. (Facebook)
- Students are invited to enter the City Of Dunedin's Martin Luther King Jr. Essay Contest. The essay should be no more than 500 words. The city is asking for students to write a response to the provided MLK quote. Five winners will be selected and are invited to read their essays at the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on Saturday, January 15, 2022. The deadline for this contest is December 17. - Christmas at the Station is back at the Dunedin History Museum for 2021. Tickets are $20 each and include live holiday music, arts and crafts, roasting marshmallows, making reindeer food, holiday shopping, falling snow, and a visit from Santa. - Long-time Blue Jays coach and minor-league infielder, Omar Malavé, has passed away at just 58 years old on Monday. After eight seasons managing the team, Malavé left a lasting impression on the organization, the team, and the community. His daughter has confirmed Malavé died by suicide and had been struggling with his mental health. He died in his Dunedin home. (WIKI)
