- The Dunedin Blue Jays will host their home opener Friday, April 8, at TD Ballpark. The game starts at 6:30 PM. The first 500 fans will receive a mystery item. In the past, giveaways have included signed baseballs, bobbleheads and more! Fans will also take home a magnet schedule to keep at home to plan their next trip to TD Ballpark. Tickets start at just $8! (MLB)
- Dunedin celebrates National Library Week by remembering the library's history. The Dunedin Public Library is the oldest public library in Pinellas County dating back to 1895. It began small when a winter resident, Christopher B. Bouton, presented 200 books to Dunedin "for public use." Bouton's brother owned the town's meeting hall and transferred ownership to the Dunedin Library Association for the purpose of housing a public library and free reading room. The building became known as Library Hall and was located in what is now known as Edgewater Park. Read the full article to learn more about our library's history! (Dunedin Patch)
From our sponsor:
Where should you invest as a Dunedin resident with a $149,000 nest egg? Thanks to a change in the legal code, there’s a new investment Dunedin residents need to know about. In fact, Bloomberg asked experts where they’d invest $100,000 right now and many of them chose it.
This may surprise you, but it’s fine art.
Growing your nest egg with art isn’t new. Wealthy families like the Rockefellers have done it for centuries.
Here’s why:
- Low correlation to stocks according to Citi
- Contemporary art historically returns 23.2% when inflation is >3%
- Contemporary art prices outpaced the S&P 500 by 164% (1995-2021)
Translation: Art could be one of the best investments for uncertain times.
Luckily for you, we found Masterworks. This revolutionary platform lets you invest in art by Warhol, Monet, Picasso without spending millions.
The best part? Anyone from your area can skip their waitlist*.
