  1. More than 125 locals attended the unveiling of the new Rosa Parks Bench commissioned by the Faith United Church of Christ on Saturday. The bench, which is located in the church's butterfly garden, is intended to be a place where people can sit, pray, read, talk, and contemplate the contributions of civil rights hero Rosa Parks.   2. The Dunedin High School Falcons baseball team welcomes Coach Brett McCarty to the family. The Birmingham, Alabama native played in high school himself as well as at Southeastern University in Lakeland. McCarty previously worked as an assistant baseball coach at Anclote High School before taking the coaching position at Dunedin High, where he also teaches English. The City of Dunedin Committee on Aging is calling for nominations for this year's Dunedin Senior Hall of Fame! Nominees must be 75 years or older, be Dunedin residents for at least ten years, demonstrate the art of aging successfully, and frequently donate their time and abilities to activities serving the community.   4. Dunedin resident Cono "Buddy" Casale has been named the best Coast Guard Auxiliary instructor in the country after dedicating up to 100 hours a month to public education for many years. Buddy currently teaches the Safe Boating and Intro to Basic Coastal Navigation courses each month at the Dunedin Marina.   5. A local nonprofit organization, A Mother's Arms, Inc, is hosting a bake sale Saturday at 11:00 AM along the Pinellas Trail behind Eli's Bar-B-Que. Proceeds will go towards the group's mission to provide free respite care to overwhelmed parents. Those struggling with parenting undergo an eight-week curriculum course during which they receive three hours of respite relief per week to take care of their mental health.   • The City of Dunedin Commission approved the Zoning in Progress Doctrine to limit development in the neighborhood located south of Downtown until a character overlay district is developed and implemented.
