- The late Wendy Barmore's Celebration of Life is scheduled for April 22 at 4 p.m. in Edgewater Park. The Whitaker and Barmore families have organized a "Life is Music" event that will include food, drinks, and live music. Speakers will honor Wendy between 4:15 and 5:15 p.m., followed by a performance with Wendy's band. Other musicians will also perform until 8:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and will be live streamed for anyone who can't make it in person. (Cindy Anderson via Facebook)
- Ahead of the Dunedin Highland Games & Festival, a kick-off celebration is planned for March 31 at 6 p.m. in Downtown Dunedin. Enjoy the traditional Pipe Band and Clan March down Main Street, beginning at 6:30 p.m. After the parade, the Highland Games Block Party will immediately begin on Broadway. - Save the date! The City of Dunedin is hosting Dunedin Family FunFest on April 21 in Highlander Park between 6 and 10 p.m. This free, family-friendly event will offer a ton of activities, games, and inflatables for kids to enjoy. Entertainment will include live music and a talent showcase performed by local residents. Those who want to be considered for the talent showcase can click the link for more details. - The City of Dunedin asks residents to take the 2023 Pinellas Trail User Survey to allow them to better understand how people use the trail. - The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is holding a "Name Your Price" adoption event between March 27 and April 2. During this special event, you get to choose how much your adoption fee is on dogs over 40 pounds, cats over one year old, and all pocket pets. (WTSP.com)
- Dunedin High School featured senior Elijah Lopez, who started attending DHS just a few months ago. Since then, "he has made new connections, found teachers that care, and has earned all A’s and B’s this past quarter." Elijah is also an incredible artist! - The City of Dunedin is holding a Summer Golf Camp for kids ages 5 to 17 at the Stirling Park Driving Range. Kids will learn the fundamental skills of the game from PGA Professional Paul Sylvester. The camp will run from May 30 to Aug. 4, Mondays through Thursdays, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Those interested can register for any of Dunedin's summer camp programs here.
