3. Congratulations to Amber Geronimo, who was named the city's Golden Apple Teacher of The Year! Geronimo teaches third grade at Garrison Jones Elementary School and is known for bringing humor into the classroom. "She is a passionate educator who injects just the right amount of humor and fun just to keep things interesting and engaging, especially when using her classroom character, 'Grammar Granny,'" said Dunedin Library Director Phyllis Gorshe. Grammar Granny is just one of Geronimo's classroom characters she uses to help keep her students engaged and make her lessons memorable.
