Here are the top 3 stories in Dunedin today:

  1. A "topping-off ceremony" was held at Dunedin's new city hall construction site during which Manhattan Construction Co. crews reported their progress. According to Dunedin City Manager Jennifer Bramley, the ceremony is a major milestone and marks the date the last steel beam is put in place. They also celebrated that after 39,000 hours of construction, no one on the crew experienced an injury. The building is on schedule to be completed in September, and a dedication ceremony is expected to be held in October. (Tampa Bay Newspapers)
  2. A lottery ticket purchased at the 7-Eleven located at 2198 Main Street in Dunedin resulted in a $1 million win for 27-year-old Clearwater resident, Emilio Martinez. The lucky local won after buying a $20 game called "$5,000,000 LUCK" which was launched in 2019. Martinez opted to receive his winnings as a one-time lump-sum payment of $760k while the 7-11 store will receive a $2,000 bonus. Feeling lucky? There are still plenty of winning "$5,000,000 LUCK" tickets floating around, maybe you'll be the next big winner! (WFLA)
  3. The City Of Dunedin has launched the 2022 Citizen Survey, which is now available online. The anonymous survey intentionally resembles the one presented to residents in 2019, ensuring data integrity and making comparisons easier. Questions are designed to gauge resident perspectives, provide insights, and capture valuable feedback. The survey will remain open through March 27. (Dunedin Patch)
