Here are the top three stories in Dunedin today:

  1. Have you seen Dunedin's Curlew Water Tower lately? Tampa Bay artist Tom Stovall is almost finished with his large mural of Henry the gopher tortoise. The design is a nod to the Swiss immigrant, Henry Scharrer, who is known for settling on Caladesi Island in 1888. After the mural of Henry is complete, Stovall will start working on the other side of the water tower. There he will paint Sylvia the sea turtle in honor of Dunedin marine biologist, oceanographer, and explorer, Dr. Sylvia Earle. (ABC Action News)
  2. Congratulations to the Dunedin High School class of 2022! Graduating students were honored in a ceremony at Ruth Eckerd Hall on Monday evening during which they received their diplomas. Pinellas County captured the ceremony on video and posted it for everyone to see on YouTube. (Facebook| Youtube)
  3. Florida tax holidays are here! If you're looking to save money on big purchases over the next few months, check if the items fall into the series of 10 upcoming tax holidays before making purchases. Right now through August 14, Florida residents can receive a tax break on children's books. Upcoming tax breaks will be on disaster relief supplies, children's clothes, diapers, select home improvement projects, boating and camping supplies, sports equipment, event tickets, and much more!
