Here are the top 3 stories today in Dunedin:

  1. On Oct. 4, the City of Dunedin discovered a cybersecurity incident impacting its network environment. A comprehensive investigation is being performed, and the city will provide additional updates as they learn more. The incident has impacted the city's email and online payments for permits, inspection scheduling, utility billing, and Parks & Recreation programs and Marina fees. According to the press release, the City of Dunedin remains fully committed to the protection of employee and citizen information, systems security and data privacy. (Dunedin Patch)
  2. Owners of Dunedin's Mangos & Marley are collecting items for those impacted by Hurricane Ian for an honorable reason. "It's our turn to give back," said owner Nina Johnston, who is a breast cancer survivor. "If it wasn't for the community that surrounded me and my family, I don't know how we would have gotten through it." With the help of local property damage company Master Restoration who've agreed to transport donations, Mangos & Marley has already packed one truck, with another in the works. All donations can be dropped off at Mangos & Marley on Main Street downtown. (ABC Action News Tampa Bay)
  3. A Dunedin company, Broth Bomb, is making waves with its bath bomb-inspired seasonings. Each ball is packed with all the herbs and spices you need to make soup, chili, curry, or stew that your friends and family won't be able to turn down. “I wanted to make seasoning packs to go with my recipes and it kind of snowballed,” cocreator Andrew Laurent said. Each Broth Bomb comes in a little box with a recipe and makes up to 16 servings of soup or stew. You can buy them for $5.99 right now on Amazon! (Tampa Bay Times - Subscription required)
