Looking for a great place to put up guests in Dunedin?

We all know Dunedin is a great place to visit. And we love it when our friends and family come to town. We just don’t always want them to actually stay in our homes. But how do we get that across without sounding, you know, a little rude…?
Here’s an idea: strongly suggest they stay at the Mai Tai Suites. Owners John and Karen Bickford offer fully furnished 850 square foot 2-bed, 1-bath suites for less than the price of a hotel.

Here are the top 3 stories in Dunedin today:
- The City of Dunedin shared an update on the cybersecurity incident which occurred on Oct. 4. While the IT Department continues to work with cybersecurity professionals to investigate and work towards fully restoring the city's network, some services are back up and running. As of Friday, city officials are now able to send and receive emails, however, any emails sent to city members between Oct. 4 and Oct. 28 may not have been received. Residents can now register and pay for recreation programs online. You can also request inspections and apply for permits online again. The Utility Billing Department is still only able to accept cash or check payments in person, however, online payments can be made through Paymentus. (City of Dunedin via Facebook | Dunedin Gov)
- The Dunedin History Museum will make history this weekend with a special anniversary event marking 50 years of service. To celebrate, a '70s-themed party will be held at Blur Nightclub on Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. In addition to live music, dancing, cocktails, and appetizers, guests will also get to experience a unique moment in our town's history. Attendees will witness the opening of the museum's official time capsule which will show us what life was like when the museum first got started. (Dunedin Patch)
- Dunedin resident Sylvia Earle may be 87 years old, but she isn't planning to retire anytime soon. The oceanographer has been exploring ocean floors for 70 years and has no intention of stopping any time soon. She has earned many accolades throughout her career, including the world record for the deepest untethered walk along the seafloor. Unfortunately, the ocean has changed quite a bit in her lifetime. "It’s nothing like the paradise that I knew. Nature is resilient, that’s cause for hope. But we need to give nature a break, take the pressure off." When Sylvia isn't exploring ocean floors, she's traveling the world promoting environmental action at schools, UN general assemblies, and in meetings with the US Congress. (Upworthy)
