Here are the top stories today in Dunedin:
- All city buildings in Dunedin will be closed for Thanksgiving on November 25 and 26. The Community Center and the Hale Center will close at 4:00 PM and the MLK Jr. Center will close at 6:00 PM on November 25. Garbage and waste pick-up will be suspended. (Press Release Desk)
- A car accident in Dunedin resulted in the death of 88-year-old woman. Sylvia Gurzynski was traveling west on Spanish Vistas Drive when she stopped at Belcher Road. She rolled into the street where her vehicle was struck by a gold Ford Explorer, driven by 18-year-old Arthur Ames. Gurzynski was pronounced dead at the scene. (Dunedin Patch)
- A couple from Utah were fishing off the Dunedin Causeway when a bald eagle stole their catch. Chad and Amanda Rissman had been visiting family in Pinellas County when they decided to go the beach. Chad was trying out his new fishing rod when he felt a tug. As he reeled it in, he noticed he caught a small shark. Before he could cut it loose a bald eagle swooped in and snatched.
