We all know Dunedin is a great place to visit. And we love it when our friends and family come to town. We just don’t always want them to actually stay in our homes. But how do we get that across without sounding, you know, a little rude…?
Here’s an idea: strongly suggest they stay at the Mai Tai Suites. Owners John and Karen Bickford offer fully furnished 850 square foot 2-bed, 1-bath suites for less than the price of a hotel.

Here are the top 3 stories today in Dunedin:
- Dunedin Fine Arts Center is hosting a Pottery Sale and Open House today, Dec. 3, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Every year, clay students and faculty sell their functional and decorative work to the public. This year, DFAC printmaking students and faculty will also have their work up for sale, making for the perfect opportunity to get some holiday shopping done. In addition to the sale, DFAC faculty will be demonstrating a variety of media. All proceeds from the day's sales will benefit the Education Studios at DFAC. (DFAC)
- The Dunedin History Museum will host a Victorian Christmas Stroll on Dec. 16 between 6 and 8 p.m. Travel back in time to a Charles Dickens Christmas while you take a walk down Victoria Drive. Attendees will learn about Dunedin's history, enjoy various Christmas ballads performed by local carolers, and spend time with Victorian Santa and his elves. Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased online or in the museum's gift shop. This event is not recommended for children. (Dunedin Museum)
- The Dunedin Give Back is looking for volunteers to lend a hand for several upcoming events. Their usual Pack-A-Snack Packing Event will be held on Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. at HOB. Additionally, they're looking for volunteers to help host a Spaghetti Dinner at the Church of the Good Shepherd on Dec. 9 between 6 and 8 p.m. Lastly, they're looking for help during the Downtown Dunedin Old Fashioned Christmas and Holiday Parade on Dec. 10. First Presbyterian Church of Dunedin is offering a "parking by donation" option for visitors attending the event, and volunteers are needed to collect donations and direct guests to parking spaces. Those interested in volunteering can register here. (The Dunedin Give Back via Facebook)
