Here are the top three stories in Dunedin today:
- Dunedin Parks & Rec offers a "Differently Abled" program for kids eight and older on Fridays between 12:30 and 2 p.m. at the MLK Jr. Recreation Center. This drop-in program provides a weekly opportunity for tweens, teens and young adults with sensory, developmental or physical disabilities to explore and utilize the center exclusively. Those who stop by can play video games, billiards, ping pong, indoor basketball and partake in various crafts. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign a general waiver before attending, which is available both online and in person. Registration is also available online and in person. (Dunedin Patch)
- Check out a performance of "Readers Theater Change Ahead" at the Hale Senior Activity Center on August 24 at 3:15 p.m. during which members of the Readers Theater will share their innovative presentation on the topic of change. See how eight sessions of creative discussion led to a single performance that brings together many definitions, truths, and examples of change like never seen before. This is a free event open to the community. Light snacks will be provided. (Dunedin Patch)
- Studio 1212 has announced the opening of a new exhibit in October titled "I Love Squares" which will be on display between October 2 and November 6.
