1. The Dunndee Farms Petting Zoo is coming to the Dunedin Public Library on July 1 between 11 a.m. and noon. Bring the family down to the library playground and make this event a memorable part of your holiday weekend! There will be various animals to feed and pet, as well as a short presentation that will include fun facts about the animals. (Dunedin Public Library)
2. If you're new to Dunedin, you've likely wondered where the oranges that are painted all over town came from. Back in 2009, after deciding there wasn't enough outdoor art featured in town, mural artist Steven Spathelf and a friend went out in the middle of the night and painted oranges on downtown buildings. Unexpectedly, the town loved it and asked for more! Since then, hundreds of homes and businesses now feature Spathelf's artwork. You should also make sure to remove any obstacles from the sand, such as furniture, trash, and sandcastles. This ensures the turtles are able to enter the water safely after their eggs hatch.
