Here are the top 3 stories today in Dunedin:
- As of January 1, 2022, Pinellas County Schools students and staff with a valid PCS ID can ride PSTA for free. Just show your ID to the driver and you'll receive a free ride on any route, any day, any time. Free rides have been made possible by PSTA’s Universal Pass Program, or U-Pass, allowing government employers and schools to pay an annual rate in exchange for unlimited public transit access for their employees or students. The program was created to provide transportation options that would reduce traffic congestion and our carbon footprint. (PSTA)
- Dunedin High School is looking for our help while seeking to provide a robust educational experience for students. It has several upcoming projects that are in need of funding and are asking for your donations. The first project is to enhance the visual projection in the classroom, as the one currently being used is of poor quality. This will allow for more seamless sharing of examples both from teacher and student as well as provide a good view for lessons, demonstrations, and video tutorials. The second project is for space club telescopes which will open up special events for students to explore space, star gaze, and learn more about current trends and history related to space exploration. The third project is for classroom hygiene and health resource including tissues, hand sanitizer, and snacks. (Facebook)
