- The City of Dunedin has scheduled a Gobble Gobble Golf Camp for kids and teens interested in improving their golf skills over Thanksgiving break. Kids ages five to 15 can participate in the camp from Nov. 21 through Nov. 23 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Stirling Park Driving Range. Kids will learn from PGA Pro Paul Sylvester and work on their driving, putting, and chipping skills. The cost is $80 per child. Call 727-733-6278 for more information. (Dunedin Gov)
- The International Chorale is holding its Patriotic & Americana Concert on Nov. 6 in the Hale Senior Activity Center at 3 p.m. The concert will honor veterans with secular, gospel, solos, duets, and international songs. Tickets are $5 at the door. (Dunedin Gov)
- Tickets are available for the Honeymoon Island Bluegrass Festival, scheduled for Dec. 3 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Honeymoon Island State Park. The event will include six hours of traditional bluegrass music by bands like Kody Norris Show, Amanda Cook Band, and Born Lonesome. - Nonprofit organizations impacted by Hurricane Ian may be eligible for aid. The U.S. Small Business Administration announced that certain Private NonProfit organizations (PNPs) in Pinellas County may be eligible to apply for low-interest disaster loans. Qualifying organizations include food kitchens, homeless shelters, museums, libraries, community centers, schools, and colleges. The loan can be used to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory, and other business assets. Learn more about who qualifies and how to apply at the link. Community members are invited to Pinellas County Schools for an hour, a few class periods, or an entire school day to share information with students about their career or hobby. Participants can also organize an activity for students, read a story, or teach a class. Sessions can be face-to-face, virtual, or pre-recorded. Those who are interested can complete the online form. - Don't forget that this Sunday we turn the clocks back one hour. Remember to change alarm clocks, water timers, or any other alarms that are time sensitive. This is also a good time to check your fire alarm batteries and other devices used during an emergency. (Pinellas County Government via Facebook)
- The City of Dunedin reminds residents to properly recycle cardboard boxes. Learn how to do so from the New World Celts of Dunedin in the city's hilarious video or by reading up on recycling on the city's website. (City of Dunedin via Facebook)
