Here are the top 3 stories in Dunedin today:
- Save the date! Dunedin's annual Fourth of July Celebration at TD Ballpark is scheduled for July 3 at 7 p.m. Enjoy all of the excitement Hometown USA has in store for us, including live music, game, face painting, fireworks, and a showing of "Field of Dreams." Entry is free, and concessions will be available for purchase. Parking is also free at TD Ballpark, the Dunedin Library, and Hale Senior Activity Center, but spaces are limited. - A local 13-year-old is working hard to document living history by recording interviews with World War II veterans. Isaac Shindore was curious about the day-to-day life veterans experienced during their military service and now has a new perspective on the hardships they experienced. "The little problems that people have in their life like a camera photo went wrong... That stuff doesn't matter," Shindore explained. "These guys here, like the Battle of the Bulge, it was so cold they're all getting frostbite and they were still pushing. They were still fighting." He isn't only creating these records for himself but for the families and friends of the veterans as well. "Because their future generations will be able to hear what they sound like and what their laugh sounds like and the jokes they told and, you know, the heroic stories and all this stuff that they told. And I think that's pretty amazing." (FOX 13 Tampa)
- Ever wonder where everyone in town gets their adorable Dunedin gear? It's from the Chamber of Commerce's Dunedin Love store, which you can browse right at home.
