Looking for a great place to put up guests in Dunedin?

We all know Dunedin is a great place to visit. And we love it when our friends and family come to town. We just don’t always want them to actually stay in our homes. But how do we get that across without sounding, you know, a little rude…?
Here’s an idea: strongly suggest they stay at the Mai Tai Suites. Owners John and Karen Bickford offer fully furnished 850 square foot 2-bed, 1-bath suites for less than the price of a hotel.

Here are the top 3 stories in Dunedin today:
- In preparation for an “after-action report,” City Manager Jennifer Bramley provided an update on the effects Hurricane Ian had on the city in a meeting with city commissioners on Oct. 4. “We didn't have any sanitary sewage overflows, which was very good news. Our water, wastewater was up and running during the entire storm,” Bramley said. While the storm narrowly missed the Tampa Bay area, it came close enough to scare us all. “It did scare the bejesus out of us. And it's a wakeup call,” Commissioner Jeff Gow said. This report will help Dunedin address issues pertaining to hurricane preparedness and reinforce our defenses for the next hurricane that comes our way. - Dunedin Goes Carting is kicking off Spooky Season with a cart-decorating contest and Halloween party today, Oct. 15, at 5 p.m. The party will be held at the VFW Post 2550 on Douglas Avenue and will include performances by the Progressive Arts Theatre Group and the Famous Witches of Dunedin. At 7 p.m., attendees can either drive their carts to the 50th Anniversary of Our Lady of Lourdes Fall Festival for drink specials or stay at the VFW to enjoy live music by Soulfish. This is a family-friendly event. (Dunedin Patch)
- Dunedin History Museum's 50th Anniversary Celebration is scheduled for Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. Get your tickets now and partake in a '70s-themed party as well as a special moment in history. Attendees will get to witness the opening of the museum's official time capsule. The event will also include music, dancing, food, refreshments, and other activities.
