A Tampa-based Internet food show recently shot a 9-minute segment on Tony's Pizza in downtown Dunedin.

"Great taste of Italy. great late night or early morning pizza in the middle of Downtown Dunedin," Terry Hopkins, "Tasting the City" on-air personality, says of his Tony's experience on his website.

Hopkins and Zane Kuhle, production manager, like to highlight food destinations from around Tampa Bay on their Food TV-inspired Internet show.

The duo highlights Tony's for its sauce and New York, thin-style pizza dough, both made fresh daily on a segment that published Aug. 2

Since Tony Starova, owner of the popular Clearwater fixture, opened a Dunedin location in early November, it has quickly become a late-night food staple across the street from Kelly's, Chic-a-Boom Room and Blur Night Club.

The eatery sells pizza by the slice, starting at $2.34 for cheese and up to $3.27 for meat lovers, and stays open until 3 a.m. on weekends.

Tony’s menu also features dine-in and take-out options and a large variety of Italian dishes, including gourmet pizzas, calzones, chicken wings, soups, salads, hot and cold sandwiches and hamburgers.

Tony's is located at 320 Main St. in downtown Dunedin.
