  1. The Dunedin Parks & Recreation Department will reopen the Kiwanis Sprayground for the warmer months on Saturday, March 12. The Kiwanis Sprayground is an interactive children's water playground is filled with several water features to beat the summer heat. Kids can dodge a crocodile that shoots water out of its mouth, slide down the pirate ship, circle the tumble buckets, and dance in and out of the flower water showers cascading through the Sprayground. The Sprayground is ADA accessible, has a non-slip surface, no standing water, shade structures, and spectator benches. Admission is free.   2. Dunedin is celebrating Florida Bike Month with a fun and educational event on March 12 in collaboration with FDOT, Forward Pinellas, Pinellas County, and Bike/Walk Tampa Bay. It will begin at 9:00 AM next to Eli's Bar-B-Que along the trail. Stop by for some delicious food, cool merch, and learn about bike safety from our experts. (Dunedin Patch)
  3. Tickets are still available for Dunedin's Drive-In Movie Night featuring "Space Jam: A New Legacy" on Friday, March 18 at Highlander Park.   • Did you know scorpions can be found at Honeymoon Island State Park? The Florida Bark Scorpion and the Hentz Striped Scorpion are nocturnal and like to hide under bark, in debris, and in other places around the park where food and shelter can be found. Even with all those eyes, these scorpions can't see very well. They can sense the difference between light and darkness, but are otherwise blind.
