Here are the top stories today in Dunedin:

  1. Are you interested in learning how to play the bagpipes or drums? Register for a five-week course where you'll learn to play among your peers. Classes are Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in the Dunedin Community Center. The winter session runs from Jan. 11 to Feb. 8, with a spring session kicking off on Feb. 22. Those interested can register now at the Dunedin Community Center Front Desk. (City of Dunedin Pipe Band via Facebook)
  2. A new Dunedin wellness spa is being recognized for taking wellness to a higher level with a combination of traditional and nontraditional services. In addition to facials, chemical peels, and weight-loss programs, The Covery Wellness Spa also offers access to a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, compression massage, IV therapy, and red-light therapy to help "reduce pain, promote healing, and gain energy and vitality." Learn more about the spa and what services they order at the link or on the company website. (Tampa Bay Newspapers)
  3. Hard rock musician Jasmine Cain is performing a free concert at Stirling Wine on Jan. 11 at 6 p.m. She'll be performing an acoustic set, officially kicking off her three-month tour around Florida. According to CL Tampa, Cain's most recent album, "Seven," "touches on people shoving their beliefs in her face, and the 'when one door closes, another one opens' ideology." Be sure to stop by and check her out if you're downtown tonight! (CL Tampa)
