  1. Dunedin Parks & Rec will host a "Little Rippers" program for kids ages three to five on Fridays between 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. at the MLK Jr. Recreation Center. The program is ideal for energetic kids interested in learning how to trick scooter. An instructor will work hands-on with your little ripper teaching them the fundamental skills to develop and stay safe while on their trick scooter. A helmet, knee and elbow pads are required. Season one will take place between September 9 and September 30. Session two will be between October 7 and October 28. Those interested can register online. (Dunedin Patch)
  2. A Float-In Movie is scheduled for September 16 at Highlander Pool. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with a showing of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" starting at dark. Enjoy games, trivia and a dip in the pool before the movie begins. Register now to reserve your spot or in person at the Highlander Pool on the day of the event. (City of Dunedin via Facebook)

The Dunedin Public Library is hosting a Build Your Savings workshop on August 23 at 6:30 p.m. Hosted by Financial Wellness Coach Kate Joslin, attendees will learn the different methods and tools to best build savings. This program is provided by Tampa Bay Neighborhood Housing Services and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. No registration is required. (Dunedin Gov)

  • A heads-up for all drivers: Starting August 19 at 9 p.m., all northbound and southbound traffic traveling on US-19 and the northbound US-19 Frontage Road will be redirected to a detour at Ulmerton Road and Bryan Dairy Road. Weather permitting, the road will reopen on August 21 at 9 p.m. (Dunedin News)
  • The City of Dunedin Parks Division is hiring an Irrigation Technician. This position performs skilled trades work in systematic repair, maintenance, installation, replacement, and design of the City’s irrigation systems.
