Here are the top three stories in Dunedin today:
- Fall is just around the corner, which means you may be looking for somewhere to pick pumpkins with the family. There are several options nearby, including Klausmeyer Farm and Pumpkin Patch in Clearwater which opens on September 18 and offers plenty for the kids to do, including zombie paintball, a 5-acre maze and the Haunted Barn. DK Farms & Nursery Fall Festival in Largo is open on weekends throughout October, and in addition to the pumpkin patch offers pony and bull rides, scenic hayrides, bounce houses, mini golf, a train ride and both craft and food vendors. - Dunedin resident John Charles who runs a group called Tampa Bay British has shared his thoughts on the Queen's death. Charles moved to the states from the UK in 1987 and has lived in Pinellas County since 1993. "Like many expatriates in Dunedin and Tampa Bay, we have only known her as our monarch. And with her passing, it feels like a part of our life is gone.
She led an amazing and inspiring life. Her dedication and commitment to the crown and commonwealth cannot be surpassed. She will be dearly missed. There was many of us saying, she gets to be with her duke again." (WUSF News) - Dunedin Parks & Recreation will hold its annual Community Garage Sale on November 19 between 8 a.m. and noon at the Hale Senior Activity Center. Stop by and shop for hidden treasures or rent a 10-foot by 10-foot space for $12 to sell your items and earn extra money for the holidays! Register in person, in advance at the Hale Activity Center.
