Man Killed In Jet Ski Crash Near Dunedin Causeway: Sheriff

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — A deadly jet ski accident near the Dunedin Causeway is under investigation, authorities said.
Gary Nolan's watercraft ran aground on a sandbar just before 11 a.m. Saturday, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Nolan was ejected over the handlebars, knocking him unconscious and causing facial trauma, officials said.
Nolan was brought to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The 60-year-old had been traveling northbound on his 2017 Sea-Doo Personal Watercraft along the east side of Caladesi Island, toward the Dunedin Causeway, authorities said.
Alcohol doesn't appear to be a factor in the crash, according to deputies.
