- Jenny Ho, a soap master and owner of Jade Soap Shop, is featured in a local spotlight article celebrating Women's History Month. Ho started soap making as a hobby but soon found that having control over the ingredients improved the appearance of her skin. When her family and friends saw the results her handmade soaps had on her skin, they began requesting their own. Encouraged by their positive feedback, Ho began selling her soaps in retail stores and at local markets. She now offers soap-making workshops at her retail location off Main Street next to Weathersfield Commons. (Newsbreak)
- The 2022 Chamber Golf Tournament is now offering sponsorship opportunities for local businesses. Sponsoring a hole gives you a sign with your company name on it or the ability to promote your business with a merch table. Other sponsorship options will get your company logo on the event promotional materials, event program, banners, and more. The golf tournament is scheduled for Friday, April 1, at 1:00 PM. - At just 17-years-old, Toronto Blue Jays prospect Manuel Beltre is already receiving praise from coaches and the Blue Jays’ player development staff. Signed for $2.35 million out of Invivienda, Dominican Republic, Beltre was billed as one of the most advanced hitters in the 2020-’21 International class. This year, a bulkier Beltre hopes to make a full-season roster. “Last year, I felt like I was hitting the ball hard, but the ball wasn’t going that far,” Beltre said. “There wasn’t much exit velocity. This year, I’m just throwing my hands and I can see the ball flying off the bat.” Read the full article for more on what we can expect from Beltre. (MLB)
