- The Dunedin Public Library is hosting Mindfulness for Chronic Pain on Aug. 9 at noon in the community meeting room. Attendees will be led by nurse and mindfulness instructor Marisela in a one-hour session designed to reduce chronic pain. Register online today to begin your self-care routine using mindfulness practices that have been shown to decrease pain flare-ups. (Dunedin Public Library)
- New York Times bestselling author Robert Jones Jr. will be featured in an upcoming Virtual Author Talk event on Aug. 15 at 4 p.m. He will be discussing his debut and award-winning novel, "The Prophets," about love between two slaves. Their relationship is put to the test when another slave "seeks to gain favor by preaching the master’s gospel on the plantation," causing those enslaved to turn against each other. - Don't forget to stop by the City of Dunedin's Back to School Open House & Expo on Thursday, July 27, between 6 and 7:30 p.m. at the MLK Jr. Recreation Center.
