Here are the top stories in Dunedin today:

  1. If you're interested in learning more about Dunedin’s Sister City ties to Stirling, Scotland, the Newcomers Club of Dunedin is hosting a luncheon on March 9 at the Dunedin Golf Club at noon. The assistant to the city administrator, Nicole Delfino, will host the lunch and share fun photos and facts about the connection. Tickets are $23 and include lunch. To reserve your spot, call Rosemary O’Hara at 813-468-0633. (Dunedin Patch)
  2. Ever wonder what those green worms dangling from the trees are? These lime-green silkworms are a sign that spring is just around the corner. According to the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, silkworms "munch on the leaves of oak trees before creating a cocoon and becoming oak leafier moths or oak leafrollers." While they can be annoying, these little critters are harmless and tend to stick around for just a few weeks. (City of Dunedin via Facebook | Tampa Bay Times)
  3. Local beekeepers at Vicki's Bees now offer artisan, hand-crafted, organic Wildflower Infused Honey. They offer honey in a variety of flavors, including blueberry, raspberry, sweet orange zest, French lavender, peppermint, and more. Show them your support by following them on Facebook! To put in an order or learn more about their honey, send them a message or call them at 727-288-8341. (Vicki's Bees via Facebook)
