Here are the top 3 stories today in Dunedin:

  1. Pinellas County has opened two local shelters for those in need as Hurricane Nicole is upon us. The county is currently under a tropical storm warning and may experience winds of up to 65 miles per hour into Thursday afternoon. Additionally, coastal flooding is anticipated on Thursday evening going into Friday morning. Community shelters are located at Ross Norton Recreation Center in Clearwater and Lealman Exchange Community Center in St. Petersburg. Those heading to a shelter can ride PSTA buses for free. (Dunedin Patch | Newsbreak)
  2. Draught Haus Fall Fest 2022 is scheduled on Nov. 12 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Clear Sky Draught Haus in Dunedin. The event is $20 per person and will include live music and unlimited craft beer samples from local breweries. Six Volt Rodeo will perform from 4 to 8 p.m. Wristbands will be available on the day of the event. (Dunedin Patch)
  3. Do you play the oboe? The Dunedin concert Band is currently seeking an oboist for their December 18 holiday performance. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m., so make sure you're able to make them before inquiring about the position. If you're interested, fill out the Performer Inquiry Form on the Dunedin Music Society's website. (Dunedin Music Society via Facebook)
