Here are the top 3 stories in Dunedin today:
- The 47th International Miniature Art Exhibition presented by the Miniature Art Society of Florida will open on January 16 at the Dunedin Fine Art Center. The exhibit will feature more than 700 works of art including the society’s permanent collection of more than 100 miniatures. Each artwork is well lit and under magnifying glasses making them possible to view. Artists created these miniatures in paint, fired porcelain, pastel, colored pencil, and sculpture. Starting January 17, artists will be on hand demonstrating their miniature art techniques. The exhibit will be on display until February 6. (Tampa Bay Newspapers)
- On February 12, Blue-Green Connections will be hosting a celebration honoring the belated 2nd anniversary of the launch of the Florida Gulf Coast Hope Spot. The celebration will include an outdoor festival with eco-friendly vendors, environmentally responsible arts and crafts, locally sourced food, games, hands-on activities, and learning experiences. Guests will also have the opportunity to get up close and personal with a pod of mermaids, touch live native animals or participate in guided Yoga. (Facebook | Blue Green Conn)
- The New World Celts Dunedin Chapter will be hosting its spring Whisky Tasting Event on March 19.
