- Ready to Paint Dunedin Purple? Grab your purple t-shirts and head downtown today to help spread awareness for Alzheimer's! This all-day event includes various deals at your favorite bars, shops and restaurants as well as live music in Pioneer Park at 6:30 p.m. Make sure to visit one of Dunedin's local businesses participating in the event and ask how they're raising money for the cause. Businesses are raising money in various ways, including selling a specific product for the event and donating a percentage of each sale. Some participating businesses include Cafe Alfresco, Beach Island Brewery, Cork & Bean, Dunedin Bike Tours, Cueni Brewing, Great Giftsby, Mangos & Marley, Rosie's, Salty Paws, and The Honu. - Sixteen new shade structures have been installed at the Stirling Park Driving Range. The canopied bays offer a cooler area to learn how to play golf or rest between swings! A bucket of balls starts at just $5. The Stirling Park Driving Range also offers golf lessons with PGA professional Paul Sylvester for individuals or groups and summer golf camps for kids. Dunedin Parks & Recreation has scheduled a free seminar titled "Florida's Landlord/Tenant Law: Know your rights" on June 14 at 10 a.m. in the Hale Senior Activity Center. Learn your rights and responsibilities as a renter, and your landlords' rights and responsibilities as well. - Pinellas County School Summer Bridge begins Monday, June 6. The program, which helps to prepare students for success in the fall, runs through June 30. - Twenty-four car tires were illegally dumped on James Street between Orange Avenue and Tangerine Avenue. The incident was reported to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. - Dunedin High School has shared a QR code for parents of incoming freshmen to scan. The QR code takes you to a download page for the Remind App, which offers parents reminders from the School Counseling Department.
