- Veskolini Cafe is hosting Painting for a Cause, today, September 21 between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. The event will raise money for a Ukrainian family moving to Dunedin with $15 from each ticket purchased going towards their childcare needs. Tickets are $45 per person and include paint supplies and a glass of wine or coffee. The instructor will provide step-by-step instructions to paint a beautiful depiction of the sun and moon. - Local musician Wendy Barmore appeared on the morning show on Tuesday to promote her new album. The album, titled Rescue Me, is a tribute to Barmore's mother and was inspired by one of her paintings. We can expect to see more from Barmore and other local musicians as the album release party was filmed for an upcoming project that will likely include performances and interviews. Barmore is scheduled to perform around Dunedin this weekend. She'll be at Lucky Lobster Co. on September 23 between 6:00 and 9:30 p.m. and at Blur on September 24 between 8:00 and 11:00 p.m. Be sure to check her out live as well as on the show! - A free seminar titled Medicare 101 will be held on September 27 at 10:00 a.m. in the Hale Senior Activity Center. This seminar will provide information about your current options for Medicare, Advantage Plans, and Part D.
