Here are the top 3 stories in Dunedin today:

  1. The City of Dunedin shared the results of the survey regarding the future of Stirling Park, which over 1,200 residents and snowbirds completed. A summary of the results indicates that pickleball courts received the support of 56.24 percent of voters. Many of those who voted against pickleball courts did so because they would prefer them in a different location, such as Highlander Park. The summary also shows that 52.78 percent of voters don't want to see a dog park in Stirling Park. Other additions that were mentioned by many residents include added green space and updated trails. You can view the summary of the results here. (Dunedin Gov)
  2. Yelp has just released its list of the top 100 restaurants in the country of 2023, and Tukro Coffee of Dunedin is at number 90! The cafe is known for its strong coffee, vegan pastries, and cozy atmosphere. If you haven't stopped in there yet for breakfast or a quick pick-me-up, you're definitely missing out! Other Tampa Bay eateries that made the list include Izakaya Tori Japanese Cuisine in Tampa and Uptown Eats in St. Pete. Check out the full list here. (That's So Tampa)
  3. Residents are invited to participate in Dunedin's 7th Annual United Faiths Walk of Peace this weekend, Jan. 29. The event is designed to promote peace, justice, and mutual respect within the community. Participants should meet in Pioneer Park at 1:30 p.m. to register, where donations will be collected for Dunedin Cares. The walk is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and will end at Weaver Park, where guests can enjoy some live entertainment. Follow the link to learn more. (Dunedin Gov)
