• Pinellas County former administrator, major general dies (wfla.com) — A longtime Pinellas County administrator and U.S. Army major general, Fred E. Marquis, is being remembered in part through a plaque recently installed along the Pinellas Trail in downtown Dunedin. Marquis helped shape the trail into the popular community amenity residents enjoy today. He died Saturday and is survived by his wife, five stepchildren, and nine grandchildren.
