Here are the top three stories today in Dunedin:

  1. An ensemble of the Dunedin Music Society has returned from a 10-day tour to Austria and Germany. The Florida Symphonic Winds 2022 European Tour traveled along the edge of the Austrian Alps, playing its first concert at Mirabell Gardens in Salzburg. The concert consisted of 12 pieces of American and European contemporary and classical music. “As we played, some audience members were obviously deeply affected and there were some shared tears among the audience and band members," said Todd Emmer. In between performing in Austria and Bavaria, members did some sightseeing. Highlights include touring Mozart’s birthplace, the medieval town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Germany and a macaroon festival! Read more about their trip in the full article. (Dunedin Patch)
  2. Dunedin Parks & Recreation and Kelly Seigel Empath Health have teamed up to offer a free Personal Legacy Writing Workshop on September 12 at 10 a.m. in the Hale Senior Activity Center. It is a natural human thought to want to feel as though we have an identity and that our place on this earth truly matters. A personal legacy document is created intentionally to last beyond your lifetime for the purpose of communicating feelings, values, wisdom, stories and wishes. By creating a personal legacy document, you can keep your stories and wisdom alive for future generations. Free tools are available and materials will be provided upon registration. (Dunedin Patch)
  3. Stirling Wine has been selected as a location site for the local film "Women Want Everything!" According to the restaurant's owner, Luanne Haver, "Stirling Wine offers the romantic, upscale and casual backdrop the production company was looking for to film a scene in their feature-length comedy." "Women Want Everything!" is a comedy showcasing four male misfits trying desperately to figure out just what it is women want in order to be happy and failing hilariously. It will be in production through mid-October and released mid-next year. (Newsbreak)
