Pinellas Trail Pedestrian Bridge Closing In Dunedin
A portion of the Pinellas Trail is closing to begin the process of replacing the pedestrian bridge.
DUNEDIN, FL – Pinellas County is set to close the Alternate U.S. Highway 19 (Palm Harbor Boulevard)/Orange Street pedestrian bridge on the Pinellas County trail between Curlew Road and Tampa Road on the morning of Thursday, Sept. 28.
The Pinellas County Public Works department is closing the section of the Pinellas Trail to begin a construction project to replace the pedestrian bridge. The section of the trail will be inaccessible to cyclists, runners and pedestrians.
Pinellas County has advised trail users who wish to pass through the area to seek alternative routes, use bike lanes, sidewalks and crosswalks to stay safe from traffic.

The bidding process is currently underway for the bridge replacement, and Pinellas County reports the project may take several months to finish.
