  1. Dunedin Parks & Recreation is offering another Wreath Making class on March 14 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Hale Senior Activity Center. Participants will learn to make a deco mesh Easter or Spring themed wreath. It will start off at 14-inches and end up between 16 and 20 inches depending on how you decorate it. Registration is required. Call the activity center at (727) 298-3299 to learn more. The workshop is $22 for those with a recreation card and $33 for those who don't. The cost includes all materials needed to complete one wreath. (Dunedin Patch)
  2. On March 10 at 3:00 PM, the City of Dunedin will unveil the final upgrade being made to John R. Lawrence Pioneer Park. The park underwent a complete renovation between 2020 and 2021 with enhancements made to the stage, lighting, sidewalks, and landscaping. The final renovation is a public art component which will be revealed during "Below the Wall," a dedication and celebration event honoring mosaic artist Suzi K. Edwards and her installation. All are welcome! (Facebook)
  3. Twenty-seven-year-old Kenneth Lunford led Pinellas County deputies in a car chase after being involved in a physical altercation Sunday evening at the Dunedin Cove Motel on Main Street. Lunford was allegedly fighting the other man involved over a drug transaction. Before police arrived, Lunford stole the other man's vehicle and recklessly drove through Dunedin, Clearwater, Largo, Belleair Bluffs, Belleair Beach, and Indian Rocks Beach. After carjacking another vehicle and hitting several others, he wound up crashing into a fence and continuing the chase on foot. Police caught up with Lunford, and arrested him on 31 charges including two counts of carjacking, DUI, and robbery. Read the article to learn more. (FOX 13 Tampa)

  • Reminder from the City of Dunedin that pouring fats, oils, and grease down your drain or garbage disposal will lead to sewer backups. These issues are caused by grease residue that sticks to your pipes, building up over time. Instead, use a towel to absorb the grease or freeze it in an old container before throwing it out.
