The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and other agencies will take part in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration's National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 30 between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. This event aims to keep prescription drugs out of the wrong hands by giving people the opportunity to dispose of them safely and conveniently. Several drop-off locations can be found throughout Pinellas County including the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office North District Station located at 2496 Bayshore Boulevard in Dunedin. Stop by to drop off unused, expired, or unwanted prescription drugs. (Bay News 9)
2. Kookie Krums in Dunedin is honoring local educators with a giveaway for Teacher Appreciation Week! You can nominate any school in Pinellas County by adding it in the comments of their Facebook post. • This weekend Dunedin Showcase Theater presents Henry James' classic ghost story "Turn of the Screw" adapted by James L. Seay. This powerful drama tells the story of a young governess caught in a house possessed by malevolent spirits. As she tries to protect her charges, she realizes that she may be fighting a losing battle. Showtimes will be held at various times between April 29 and May 7 at the Dunedin Community Center. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the Center before the show.
