- In honor of National Purple Heart Day, the City of Dunedin is hosting a Purple Heart Recognition Ceremony on Aug. 7 at 6 p.m. in Purple Heart Park. Stop by to pay tribute to all veterans, with a special focus on Purple Heart recipients. If you would like to honor a Purple Heart recipient with an engraved brick, learn more about the Purple Heart Commemorative Brick Program at the link. (Dunedin Gov)
- Registration is now open for Dunedin Parks & Recreation's before and after school programs for kids in VPK through fifth grade. All programs will be held at Dunedin Elementary, Garrison-Jones Elementary, and San Jose Elementary Schools and include snacks and homework help. Kids will get to enjoy sports, games, crafts, music, holiday celebrations, and more. The morning program begins at 7:30 a.m., and the after-school program ends at 6 p.m. (Dunedin Gov)
- Dunedin's Cross Country Program for kids between five and 15 kicks off next month, with the season running between Aug. 9 and Oct. 4. Practice will be held on Wednesdays between 6 and 7 p.m. in Highlander Park. Additionally, athletes will get to compete in four meets throughout the season.
