- The Honu is hosting a Rainbow Dinner on June 22 between 5 and 10 p.m. featuring a dish that includes all of the colors of the rainbow. The dish costs $20.23 and includes Huli chicken, roasted sweet potato, yellow squash, green salad with blueberry orange dressing, and ube sour cream cake. No reservations are required. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Caregivers Wellness Program, a local nonprofit that supports older members of the LGBTQ+ community. (The Honu via Facebook)
- Celebrate "Fun in the Sun" this Saturday, May 27, at TD Ballpark at 6:30 p.m. while the Dunedin Blue Jays take on the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels! The family-friendly event will offer an inflatable course on the pavilion, face painting, balloon art, kite-making, and more. Additionally, all kids will get the chance to run the bases after the final out! Get your tickets to the game here. - Join our city arborist Craig Wilson at the Dunedin Public Library on June 1 at 1 p.m. for a Gladys Douglas Preserve Presentation. Attendees will learn about the critically endangered scrub habitat, part of the preserve that contains the largest undeveloped sandy ecosystem in North Pinellas County, and the preserve's 143 native plant species. - Metropower, a major electrical contractor serving the greater southeastern U.S., recently visited Dunedin High School to congratulate senior Josh Ward for winning the SkillsUSA Electrical Construction Wiring competition. They presented Ward with various tools and apparel to encourage his career as an electrician and support his goal of becoming a master licensed electrician. Congratulations, Josh Ward! - The City of Dunedin has improved its online interface to give residents a safer, faster, and more convenient way to pay their utility bills. Those interested can learn more here. Residents who prefer to drop off their utility bill payments can do so by visiting the Utility Billing Drop Box located outside of the front door of the new City Hall building.
