- There was an error in Thursday’s newsletter regarding the date of the Dunedin High School Homecoming Parade. I had reported it was Thursday, but it's actually scheduled for today at 3:30 p.m. I apologize for any inconvenience. (Dunedin Gov)
- Dunedin Parks & Recreation is hosting School's Out Day on October 17 between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the MLK Jr. Recreation Center. There are two program options to choose from. The traditional program is ideal for kids ages VPK to fifth grade. Children will enjoy a fun-filled day of games, crafts and activities. The second program option is Fit Kids, designed for kids ages second to fifth grade. Children will have a blast, be active and enjoy a day filled with their favorite sports and fitness activities. Register online or in person before October 14 to take advantage of early bird pricing. (Dunedin Patch)
- A Dunedin mental health conference is scheduled on September 17 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Conmy Center at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. The event will be run by the House of Mercy and Encouragement Foundation, or HOME, a mental health and educational services nonprofit. After their plans got sidetracked during the COVID-19 pandemic, the founder and director Delores Mortimer is looking to get things back on track with this conference. “We want to give teens a safe space to talk about depression and anxiety,” said Gianna Borst, community outreach coordinator. Read the full article to learn more about the conference and how to register. (Tampa Bay Newspapers)
