  1. The Skinner Road Complete Streets Project has been moved up and will now begin in 2024. The project was approved after Forward Pinellas awarded the City of Dunedin more than $1M back in 2019. Improvements will include a wider street for passenger vehicles, bike lanes, bus bays, multiuse trails, expanded sidewalks, new ramps for disadvantage needs, and golf cart facilities. The goal of the project is to improve safety and enhance the downtown area. (Press Release Desk)
  2. The board of the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority voted unanimously on Wednesday to authorize the purchase of 60 zero-emission electric buses. The buses will be purchased over a five-year period starting in early 2024. Federal grants, including funding from the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill, will be used to pay for the new buses. This is a huge move for Pinellas County as it aligns with the county’s recently adopted 100 percent clean energy goals. (Tampa Bay Times)
  3. Members of the Grammy-winning jazz outfit Snarky Puppy are performing in Dunedin this weekend as part of the group Ghost-Note. The band is built around the Snarky Puppy percussion duo, Robert “Sput” Searight and Nate Werth, and often attracts big names in the industry. Kendrick Lamar producer Terrance Martin sat in on their last gig in Dunedin back in 2019. You can catch them at the Dunedin Brewery Friday night at 10:00 PM. (Creative Loafing)
